Book A Discovery Call

Carbon Underwriting | London

  • Objective

The objective was to bring colleagues together in a way that felt non-hierarchical and collaborative and to replace their rental art with art made by colleagues.

  • Approach

A collaborative abstract art experience was selected to encourage shared focus, gentle communication, and a collective outcome without pressure or hierarchy.

  • Outcome

The session resulted in multiple shared artworks now displayed in their workplace, acting as a visible reminder of collaboration and collective achievement.

AstraZeneca | Cambridge

  • Objective

A new team leader wanted to bond with his new team and chose creativity to open and close his two-day conference.

  • Approach

Crafty Team Building designed and delivered four facilitated creative workshops, positioned at the opening and closing of the conference.

    The sessions were structured to:

    - gently break the ice

    - encourage informal conversation and collaboration

    - create a shared experience that felt calm, purposeful and professional.

Each workshop was tailored to suit the audience, venue and flow of the event.

  • Outcome

The workshops helped establish rapport within a newly formed team and provided a fresh angle to the programme.

    Feedback highlighted:

    - stronger interpersonal connections

    - a sense of shared achievement

    - a positive, inclusive tone carried forward into the wider event.

✔ Brought together a newly formed global team

     ✔ Created connection in a non-work setting

✔ Opened and closed a conference with purpose

Crafty Team Building regularly works with global organisations to design creative experiences that support connection, wellbeing and collaboration.

Atlas Copco Group | Hemel Hempstead

  • Objective

The Atlas Copco Group operates a decentralised business model, meaning that they distribute decision-making throughout the businesses rather than dictated from the top down. However, each region has a Holdings team whose role is to represent the Group locally and support all of the businesses in our region.

The team doesn’t often get the chance to all be in one place, so the team day was extra special for them.

It was a day filled with creativity and collaboration and we can't wait for the next one!

  • Approach

They were eased into the art of origami by learning how to create the perfect paper plane and watching a world record being set on YouTube.

Once everyone got the hang of folding paper, they were taught how to create beautifully framed origami artwork to take home.

  • Outcome

Colleagues enjoyed the collegial nature of the workshop, the individuality of it and the fact that they could take a piece of art home.

Britvic | Hemel Hempstead

  • Objective

An operations team wanted to offer a choice of team building options to their team of 90, to ensure inclusion.

  • Approach

Crafty Team Building pitched a few options that would encourage collaboration and that were suitable for participants to go at their own pace.

The framed origami art experience was perfect because:

    - it offers a choice of papers for individuality

    - encourages supportiveness

    - create a shared experience with a defined outcome

  • Outcome

The workshops helped establish rapport within a newly formed team and provided a fresh angle to the programme.

    Feedback highlighted:

    - stronger interpersonal connections

    - a sense of shared achievement

    - a positive, inclusive tone carried forward into the wider event.

✔ 58 colleagues created a unique piece of art

     ✔ Created connection in a non-work setting

✔ Is a perfect team building session for neuro-diverse people due to its non-verbal  requirements

Essity | London

  • Objective

To round off a full marketing leadership day with a mindful drawing experience.

  • Approach

Crafty Team Building proposed The Zentangle®️ Method for relaxation and calm.

  • Outcome

Drawing is a great way to segue from a busy, all-day meeting into the evening so the team enjoyed the distraction from work and the non-hierarchical environment it offers.

  • Approach

Crafty Team Building proposed The Zentangle®️ Method for relaxation and calm.

I had a trial session with the European leader and from there I ran the one hour workshop, online, for over 100 people.

  • Outcome

The team enjoyed learning about this art form and enjoyed drawing their patterns.

Safran | Hemel Hempstead

  • Objective

To bring the HR team together before Christmas and experience something empowering together.

  • Approach

Crafty Team Building proposed the framed modular origami star workshop for the two-hour slot.

The group could work individually, supporting each other where necessary on the folds and by producing step-by-step guides, they can also go at their own pace.

  • Outcome

Each star is different due to the plethora of papers to choose from and everyone creates a unique piece to take home.

A superb workshop where everyone completes this unique experience.

Ocado Technology | Hatfield

  • Objective

Ocado Technology ran an Art Day in their office in the Summer.

They chose Crafty Team Building for the variety of options, and asked me to put together a proposal of three workshops that suited a different corporate outcome.

  • Approach

I proposed three workshops that sit within the areas of focus and calm, empowerment and learning and team spirit.

  • Outcome

With nearly 100 colleagues signed-up, each year, the art day is a great way to connect people in a more unusual way.

Not many colleagues had done origami before and almost none acrylic pouring. Making something with your colleagues, creates a sense of belonging and psychological safety.

AT&T | Online

  • Objective

AT&T New York wanted to bring their US team together and do something creative and eco-friendly.

  • Approach

One of the best ways to be eco-friendly with crafting is to use junk mail.

With many offices in the US joining, they chose to experience practical origami with junk mail, which suited their needs.

  • Outcome

No expense from packs being sent, nearly 100 people joined and spent one hour being creative.

Step-by-step guides were also sent over so colleagues could make more of the items they learnt to make.

Diageo | Knebworth House

  • Objective

The head of the innovation team, Alison Adas, led a wellbeing team day offsite at Knebworth House.

She wanted a mindful art workshop to tie in with the wellbeing theme.

  • Approach

The Zentangle Method is specifically designed to induce a flow-state, where participants focus on creating patterns, line by line.

It is a perfect workshop for mindfulness and calm.

  • Outcome

I set up in the back of their meeting room and conducted the one-hour workshop from 15.00 - 16.00.

Renewed energy with some colleagues saying they want to pick up some crafts that they had started but hadn't finished.

In addition, Alison, printed further materials for the office as some wanted to continue.
